Tillson Oatmeal Crisp Cookies

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Tillson’s Oats (Now Quaker Oats)--if you'd like a current local version, try Oak Manor Farms! 
  • 1 cup of brown sugar
  • 1 cup of butter
  • 1 cup of flour
  • ¼-cup boiling water
  • ½-teaspoon salt
  • 1-teaspoon soda
  • Optional: ½ of raisins, nuts or chocolate chips

Ingredients

  1. Mix the Tillson Oats with sugar, salt and flour
    Hint: Tillson Oats are now Quaker Oats! If you'd like to use a hyper-local oat, try Oak Manor Farms! 
  2. Add melted butter and mix together
  3. Dissolve baking soda in boiling water
  4. Add dissolved baking soda and water into mixture
  5. Add additional ingredients in desired
  6. Form the dough into a long roll and chill overnight
  7. Slice into thin disc
  8. Bake at 3500 for 5 to 10 minutes
  9. Enjoy your cookies!
