Submit Event
Events that meet the eligibility criteria below can be submitted for the calendar of events.
Eligible Events:
- Events taking place in Oxford County
- Marketed and geared towards visitors (Would visitors be willing to drive 40+km to attend this event?)
- Open to public attendance (can charge admission)
- Fall into one of these event categories:
- Arts and Performing Arts – through a professional or semi-professional organization.
- Cultural – An event or festival with a focus on cultural heritage or history.
- Culinary – Any event with a main focus on food/drink
- Entertainment and Festivals
- Exhibits and Shows
- Music and Concerts – Any type of musical presentation performed by professional or semi-professional organizations.
- Sport Events – Individual or team sporting events involving professional or semi-professional athletes, or competitions by amateur athletes at the provincial, national or international level with a spectator experience.
- Tours, Workshops and Experiences- bookable and guided hands-on activities.
- Grand Openings and Anniversaries- at tourism businesses on website
- Do not fall into one of these ineligible event categories:
- Resident focused events: Community-oriented fundraising events like walks, auctions, fun runs and GoFundMe.
- Informal gatherings without required permits or insurance.
- School events, meetings, conferences.
- Open houses, reunions, homecomings.
- Political events.
- Religious celebrations.
