Blandford-Blenheim

Blandford-Blenheim (population 7500) is Oxford County’s North-Eastern township just East of Woodstock and East Zorra-Tavistock. It is home to the communities of Bright, Plattsville, Drumbo and Princeton.  This rural area is very popular with visitors for its outdoor attractions including one of Canada’s largest haunts, farm experiences (for adults and littles), cheese factories, an iconic heritage barn theatre, a destination golf course, 4 community museums, culinary school, and a paddling outfitter (yes even white water rafting in spring).

As you travel along the country roads you will see plenty of canoes in back yards as locals frequently paddle the Nith River. The Nith River is a best-kept secret amongst experienced paddlers. Beginners can also enjoy the river’s wilderness views with a local outfitter.  Also be prepared to share the road with cyclists who love the rolling hills past farmland and river views.  There is much slow down for and appreciate in in Blandford Blenheim
