Ingersoll

Edit 13026 Description

Ingersoll (population 13,000) is nestled along the Thames River with scenic river trails and a charming downtown.  With several stops along the Oxford County Cheese Trail right in town, you can explore the area's rich dairy and cheese heritage at the Ingersoll Cheese Museum.  Hitting the downtown, check out delicious local cafes, gift shops and more.   Those looking to get creative will love checking out the Ingersoll Creative Arts Centre where one can enjoy hands-on art classes, fresh exhibits and locally made art for purchase.  A renowned gem in Ingersoll is The Elm Hurst Inn and Spa, the historic home of cheesemaker James Harris.  This mansion has been turned into a posh and luxurious inn complete with a spa and restaurant. The grounds make for a beautiful spot to explore and stretch your legs before heading inside for a glass of wine or massage. Don't miss out on some of Ingersoll's fantastic events including their Winter Lights Spectacle during the holidays and Canterbury Folk Fest, a zero-waste music event.
