For those who love to add antiques into their decor, Modern Hipster Antiques is a true treasure trove of possibilities.  Owner Marty Gebel has been seeking out the coolest of the cool at flea markets and antique shops since he was a kid and has even hosted his own television series.  Consider this shop his baby.  Step inside for a great mix of furniture, decor, funky toys and so much more.

There is something so calming about walking into a bakery and smelling the aromatic mixture of freshly ground coffee and scratch-made baked goods. The Olde Bakery Cafe is a favourite among locals for this very reason.  Step inside this cafe (which at one time was a bakery- go figure!) and feast on sandwiches, homemade cookies, cakes, pies, tarts and so much more.  Savour delicious and creamy soups or just treat yourself to a nice latte. Home of the Big Ass Panzerotti, amazing smoked mac n' cheese, burgers made with grilled cheese sandwiches for buns and dare we say it, deep fried cheese curds, Louie's is definitely a place to add to the bucket list.  With inventive and delicious flavours coming out of the kitchen constantly. Grab a seat in their road-house style dining room or pull up a chair outside on the patio.  We hope you brought your appetite.

#7: Learn the history at The Ingersoll Cheese Museum

Ingersoll is known as The Town Built on Cheese so it's only right that there be a museum dedicated to it!  Learn the history behind Oxford County's cheese making past from the country's first cheese making school to a ginormous 7300lb wheel of cheese made in town.  More than that, learn about the other interesting parts of Ingersoll's history from its connection to Laura Secord to the town's important role along The Underground Railway.  You'll be amazed by the history.  Need a little stretch? You can walk from the Ingersoll Cheese Museum through Centennial Park and over to the Ingersoll Creative Arts Centre for a little artsy inspiration.  Follow the Thomas Ingersoll Trail from there and right into town! 

 

 #8: The Elm Hurst Inn and Spa
