YU Ranch Hungarian Beef Bogracs

Ingredients:

 

  • 3lbs YU Ranch stew or sirloin beef cubed
  • 1/2 lb bacon, cut into small pieces
  • 2 medium onions chopped finely
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil.
  • 2 tbsp sweet paprika
  • 1 1/2 tbsp hot paprika
  • Dash of cayenne pepper
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 medium potatoes cubed
  • 2 medium carrots cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 sweet peppers cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 stalks celery cut into bite-sized pieces
  1. Heat oil then add onion and peppers with bacon. Cook 8 to 10 minutes or until onions are translucent.
  2. Add garlic and meat together. Brown for 10 to 15 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and add paprika, salt and pepper.
  4. Cover with beef broth and water.
  5. Simmer for up to 2 hours. Add vegetables, simmering for another 1/2 hour.
  6. 45 mins before serving add potatoes and season to taste..
