About Speaker Scott:

Scott was the first full-time curator hired by the Norwich & District Historical Society, starting in the spring of 1983. In his time at the Museum, Scott wrote a weekly column for the Norwich Gazette entitled 'Route to the Past', was involved in the Norwich Chamber of Commerce, and was secretary of the steering committee for the celebration of the 175th anniversary of Norwich in 1985. He is pictured here in 1985 in front of the extension with the Museum volunteers and staff - who do you recognize?!

After his time at Norwich, Scott worked with the Bruce County Museum, the Museums of Mississauga, the Norfolk Historical Society and the Town of Ingersoll. He has since retired, but continues to spread knowledge of the history of Oxford County in his 'Route to the Past' columns, now for The Woodstock-Ingersoll Echo, doing historical research, conducting walking tours, and giving presentations across the region.
