"Bright Lights Black Stars" with author Paul Allen
Join us for our monthly Speaker Series on Tuesday, June 10, at 7:00 p.m at the Beachville Museum.
We look forward to welcoming Paul Allen, a former two-time London Intercounty Baseball League All-Star, who will discuss his non-fiction book, “Bright Lights, Black Stars: Negro League Players in Canada’s Oldest Baseball League.” The book focuses on IBL players and teams during the 1948-1959 period, providing a fascinating insight into baseball history.
Following the presentation, guests are invited to participate in a Q&A session, share stories, and enjoy light refreshments provided by the Beachville District Historical Society.
Admission is free, and donations to support our ongoing programming are gratefully accepted. No registration is required; however, seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Please note: our Speaker Series will pause for July and August and resume in September.
