Whoot! Whoot! The Family Day long weekend is here and you get to spend time together all. weekend. long. If that sounds exciting but maybe a little bit scary, we're not judging. Fear not though! There are loads of ways to keep the kiddos (and you!) busy this Family Day weekend. Here are some of our best ideas:
Be the Cool Parent by taking them to a Hockey Game
Where: The Maple Leaf Alumni Game at the Tillsonburg Arena, 45 Hardy Ave. Tillsonburg, ON. (View Map)
When: 5 P.M.
This chance just doesn't come around every day and it's going to be REALLY cool. The Town of Tillsonburg is hosting a game with the Toronto Maple Leafs Alumni Team on Saturday night. Players like Wendel Clark and goalie Jean-Sebastien Aubin will be hitting the rink for an unforgettable game. Up against them is Tillsonburg's FARE Flurry, a team supporting the Fee Assisted Recreational Experiences program and consisting of hockey players, ringette players, broom ballers and figure skaters! You'll be the coolest parent in the world when you take your kids to this one.
Watch a Movie with Other Fams
Where: The Burgessville Library, 604 Main St. Burgessville, ON. (View Map)
On Saturday morning, grab the whole fam and enjoy a free screening of Abominable at the Burgessville Library. They'll have free popcorn on deck and the movie all cued up so you can be lazy and just spend some quiet kick-back time together. If you're looking for something to wash that popcorn down with, be sure to bring a drink with a lid.
Get Active Together
Where: Ingersoll's Public Skate at the Ingersoll Memorial Arena, 97 Mutual St. S. Ingersoll, ON. (View Map); Ingersoll's Open Swim at Victoria Park Community Centre, 355 Wellington St. Ingersoll, ON. (View Map)

Whether you've got a rink kid or a water kid, Ingersoll has you covered. You could even do both! In the morning, work up a sweat with the kids at the ice rink for a solid hour as you take in all that Canadian fun. Then head over to the Victoria Park Community Centre for an afternoon dip. All that exercise might even call for an early bed time!
