Powdered Milk
The first manufacturer of powdered milk in Canada and in North America was the Brownsville Cheese Company in Brownsville, ON in 1903. The plant was purchased by B.A. Gould of New York. It was located at the North, East corner of Hinck and Glover Street. The process of drying on hot rollers was used in 1909 when the Merell-Soule spray and tank system was installed.
